After reaching retirement, Sosuke Tashiro (played by Tachi) finds himself with nothing to do from morning till night—and gradually becomes seen by society as a man whose best days are behind him. Even his wife Chigusa (Kuroki) and daughter tease him, saying, “Why not fall in love or something?” Sensing that something has to change, he throws himself into job hunting and joins a gym—but nothing seems to go right. Just when he's feeling truly lost, life throws him a curveball—and everything begins to change. The so-called “end of the road” turns out to be just the beginning, filled with unexpected twists and turns.
